Denny Business Front
Denny is sandwiched conveniently between the M876 & M80. Stirling is only 6 miles north, Falkirk 5 miles east and Glasgow 16 miles south. Residents of the town once jokingly asked to be named the most dismal town in the UK in the hopes of the town getting some attention and that has led to some businesses adding to the local economy and bringing about a level of regeneration that continues to grow.
The town was originally one where heavy industry dominated the local economy, but now acts as something of a focal point in Central Scotland with its convenient position between so many big towns. The closest business parks to the town are just to the east with Lochlands Business Park just south of Larbert.
Denny is enclosed by three main roads. The M80 & M876 fork out from the south while the M9 cuts along the north. Almost everyone here has a car to get from A to B.
There are several primary schools around the town and one high school. Older students going to colleges and universities travel to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Falkirk and Stirling.
Denny is a very quiet town indeed. It’s ideally the kind of town someone who loves peace and quiet would live in. Stirling Street and Glasgow Road give the area a warming communal vibe. Locals looking for a fun night out will either travel south to Glasgow or just a few miles north in to Stirling.
