Coatbridge Business Front
Coatbridge is a great spot to house your business if you’re looking for a location that is convenient for commuting in and out of Glasgow, but not in the mood to pay the high prices expected in Glasgow City Centre. Many people who run businesses in Coatbridge either live in the area or live in surrounding towns like Cumbernauld, Hamilton, Wishaw and Airdrie.
Coatbridge business centre is the main business park located in the town. Others include Atrium Business Centre on N Caldeen Road, Imex Business Park on Main Street, Linburn Business Park on Brown Street and Barrowfield Street.
Coatbridge is lucky to be surrounded by a number of different railway stations. Blairhill, Coatbridge Sunnyside and Coatdyke run along the north of town, while Kirkwood and Whifflet run along the south. Unsurprisingly, Coatbridge Central sits in the middle of town. A train straight to Glasgow Queen Street Station takes roughly 35 minutes. A train to or from Edinburgh goes through Milngavie station. Driving in and out of Coatbridge to the city centre is convenient. Taking the M8 only takes 18 minutes, and it’s also only a 50 minute drive in to Edinburgh city centre too.
Educational buildings in the area include New College Lanarkshire, Sage Centre, Nail College (for young beauticians) and Coatbridge College.
Coatbridge is viewed as something of a commuter town. It mainly comprises of suburban homes and links to retail parks. There is one cinema in town and two golf courses dominant the east side. People who live in the area use the train links for leisure just as much as they do business.
